Magg is the developer of the amazing website called Kingdom.Watch. It is a one-stop shop for everything that you need in DeFi Kingdoms. You can access the Bank’s APR in moving average, epoch timers, dev wallet balances, hero statistics, and your own personal page! I definitely recommend you checking it out and witness the wonders of this website.
On a more personal note, Magg is a husband and dad in his forties living in Europe. He’s been a geek since he was 10. His grandfather realized that computers had come to stay, and bought him a 386DX with 4mb RAM, so he could get on the train early. In 1996, his uncle gave him a Slackware Linux CD-ROM set for his birthday. Then there was no way back.
He works as a backend developer for a living, and in his spare time, he continues in that vein with various projects. Most recently, with the DFK fansite Kingdom.Watch. It actually began with him wanting some more frontend experience and figured a page listing the dev wallets and transactions would be good for transparency in the game, and a suitable opportunity to improve on his design skills.
Besides programming he also enjoys playing games ranging from RDR2 to Pillars of Eternity and EU4. Sometimes, he also brews some beer in my RoboBrew. In case you’re wondering what a RoboBrew is, I’ve attached a picture of it.
He is not too attached to his heroes, but when he gets a warm fuzzy feeling every time he summons a Legendary or Mythic hero, so here’s a completely random Legendary hero, there’s nothing special about it.
How did you discover DeFi Kingdoms?
DeFi Kingdoms popped up as a suggested article in my Chrome feed, and I decided to risk $100 on this “obvious” rug. It didn’t take long before that amount went up and my confidence in the project skyrocketed.
In your opinion, what makes this project great?
A defining moment for me was when I was getting ready to launch the Dev Watch page, and had some questions for the team regarding the amount of information I was planning to show. Frisky Fox was really forthcoming and even provided additional information. That’s when I realized that this project was here to stay and was going to be something special.
The team does a fantastic job, and the community tops that off with a really pleasant atmosphere.
What would you like to see in the future?
I am really hyped for the cross-chain functionality. In my opinion that mitigates the risk of betting on the wrong chain, as it’s great for attracting more players. I am also looking forward to the combat quests. It’ll be very exciting to see what Hubert and the team cooks up for us!
